I am a local Bellingham photographer handling many types of photography. While I love to shoot everything from weddings to events, I really thrive photographing sporting events. I don't know about you, but for me there is not much that can beat the smell of fresh cut grass on a cool crisp fall Friday evening standing on the 50 with a camera!

I have been making photos since I was 17 years old, getting started at North Kitsap High School with a photography class. After graduation, I continued my new found love and turned my creative expression in to a college education. I graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Visual Communications: Graphic Arts and Photography in the spring of 1993. My final college project was an internship with the Bellingham Herald as a photographer.

I am pleased to continue developing photography and a photographers community with www.WPANetwork.com through out Northwestern Washington. If you have any photography or photo order questions, or to find out how to contribute your photographic passion to the WPANetwork please email me at David.Willoughby@WPANetwork.com

Thanks again for your time!

David :)

I was born and raised in the Auburn area and I am an Auburn High School graduate. My three children attend the Enumclaw School District and are very involved in the athletic programs. I currently have a high school athlete, a middle school athlete and a grade school athlete. I attend nearly all of their games and I like to capture the special moments and the exciting plays. Over the years, I have continued to upgrade my camera gear in order to get great action shots in both indoor and outdoor events. I am now to the point where most of my photographs are good quality and people often request copies of the photos I have taken of their kids. Since I am already attending many sporting events and taking photos at those events, and will have kids in the South Puget Sound League at Enumclaw High School for the next 9 years I decided to look into being a photographer. I have always tried to get the unique one-of-a-kind photos, whether using a GoPro video camera mounted on my helmet while motorcycle riding/snowmobiling or mounted to a rod while fishing trying to capture the salmon or halibut as it is netted at the boat, or using a telephoto lens at the baseball, basketball or volleyball tournament capturing a series of shots that will produce a lasting memory of that special moment. I am always creatively investigating new and unique camera photo shots for the next picture.

Thank you

I am an Auburn based photographer and have been covering local area sports for the last 7 years. I cover sports in the SPSL 2A, 3A, 4A and Seamount leagues. I became interested in photography as I tried to capture memories of my children in sports and dance. That interest has grown into a love of shooting high school sports. Now that my children have graduated high school and moved on to college I find myself shooting high school sports every day.

I am available for shoot requests for specific games or specific athletes, senior portraits, including sport themed shoots, and other events. I can be contacted at dclarke67@comcst.net and at 253-709-2322. For other photo products, including custom made posters, visit my website at dhc.smugmug.com.

I began taking sports photos in December 2014 when I was ten years old. My grandpa asked me to take photos of my three older brothers’ varsity wrestling meet. To earn a Girl Scout badge and build my 4-H photojournalism project, I submitted photos and a report to the B-Town Blog, who published it! I followed the wrestling team to State and earned special permission for a full media pass. I enjoyed the challenge of finding the right moment, location, and angle for great shots of everyone so much I followed my brothers onto the track and learned to shoot that sport. Since then, I have shot thirteen different high school sports as the “Official Unofficial Highline Pirate Photographer.” In 2015, I became the team photographer for the Highline Bears Baseball team in the PIL league, was an official Mariner photographer for an inning, and earned my first real press credentials. I have also shot rock climbing, high ropes challenge courses, local news events, the Seafair Pirates on Parade, and even a wedding!

I have been sharing my photos on the WPA Network since the first meet back in 2014. I have community Facebook pages for each of the sports I cover, regularly write sports reports for the B-Town Blog, have a rotating photo installation at the Aussie Pie Company in Burien, and still find time for soccer, violin, and my schoolwork.

Adults often assume I am a ‘student photographer’ because of my size and age. I laugh when I get to explain, “No, I am a real one, here are my credentials.”

For the record: I am a true Pirate at heart and only shoot a Canon and my mom is my driver, gear hauler, and safety personnel at the events I shoot. I hope you enjoy the photos I take! :D

"You Watch the Game. I'll Capture the Memories"

Situated in Puyallup, I am a freelance photographer with a penchant for photographing sports.

I got my first camera for my tenth birthday (yeah, I know, kinda nerdy) and I have been shooting to varying degrees ever since. I was a three-sport athlete through high school and can't begin to tell you how many times a coach caught me with a camera along for the ride on road trips (if you live in Billings, MT, you do road trips). The camera was always there to provide a record of experiences. After all, how many times will a person be playing high school football, running a downhill course on salted and packed snow or competing for a medal in the state track meet?

Fortunate enough now to be retired from my day job, a hobby has become a 'cottage' business allowing me to freelance for McClatchy Newspapers, South Hill Mall, Images and Events, Rockets Magazine, etc. as well as shoot the incidental senior photos, military events, weddings, reunions and other events. But, being a 'sports shooter' remains my passion.

I work diligently to produce a 'photograph' versus a 'picture' - the idea being that each image tells a story and provides a memory for students, parents and family members alike.I shoot with professional Nikon cameras and lenses and constantly work to improve my craft as opposed to accepting the status quo of the moment. Please feel free to visit my website for expanded product offerings and additional examples of my photography.

If you have a question regarding a photography or videography event, please contact me.

I am a Kent based photographer covering sports in the SPSL. I have been active with youth sports not just photographically but also as a gymnastics
coach in KSD for the past 15 years. Like most of you, I also have kids that participate in sports. It has given me an amazing opportunity to capture some great images of them performing. I very excited to hopefully do the same for you!

I do own and operate a small photography company shooting Senior portraits and family life events.

The key to happiness is doing what you love.

As an athlete, I have always enjoyed sports, and competition. As a photographer, my passion has been capturing athletes at their peak performance. I have photographed everyone from Little Leaguers to Major League Baseball players. You can still find a whole series of my home run photographs hanging in former MLB player Mike Sweeney’s office. I’ve never found a sport or a person I didn’t enjoy photographing. As an athlete and photographer timing and focusing is everything.

I also specialize in portraits. I have a fun and positive way of putting others at ease and it’s easy for me to see each person’s inner beauty and dignity. As an artist, I enjoy reflecting that in my photographs and believe that a portrait should be more than an image. It should peak into the soul.

Currently, I am a freelance photographer for the local newspaper and over the years my work has appeared in numerous publications and magazines. I also specialize in individual team photos and have a staff of photographers and support staff when working with leagues.

I studied photography in college and it has been my passion ever since. My faith, family and my love of photography has been the key to my happiness.
