Open Facilities and Weight Room

If you are interested in attending Open Facilities and the Weight Room, you must sign up on www.familyID.com and have a current physical.

If you are participating in a fall sport you cannot participate in Open Facilities. If you have quit a fall sport you also cannot participate in Open Facilities. All students are allowed to use the weight room during the designated times as long as they have been approved on FamilyID.com and they have a current physical.

Athletes only need to register for open facilities and weight room once during the school year.

Winter Sports Registration

Winter sports registration is OPEN on www.familyid.com. Highline offers boys' and girls' wrestling, gymnastics, boys' and girls' basketball and boys' swim and dive during the winter season. You must have a current physical on file and have current medical insurance in order to be approved.

Gymanstics practices begin on Monday, Nov. 11. All other sports' practices begin on Monday, Nov. 18.

Preseason Meetings:

Wrestling: Nov. 13 in small gym at 2:40pm

Girls' Basketball: Nov. 13 in cafeteria at 2:45pm

Boys' Basketball: Nov. 8 in the cafeteria at 1:00pm

Boys' Swim: Nov. 14 in cafeteria at 2:40pm

Gymnastics: Nov. 6 in room 1515 at 2:40pm

3:15 - 5:00pm at Evergreen Pool

Bring suit, towel, goggles and a water bottle. Transportation is provided from Olympic to Evergreen Pool.

Make sure you are signed up AND approved for the first practice no later than Friday, Nov. 8 in order to be cleared for practice on Nov. 11, or Friday, Nov. 16 to be cleared for practice on Nov. 18.

Fall Sports Awards Banquet

The Fall Sports Awards Banquet will be on

Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6:30pm in the gym at Olympic Interim Site.

We will meet as a large group in the gym and present SPSL awards and recognize district and state participants.

Following the general session teams will meet to present individual team awards.

Academic Grade Checks!

The Washington State Interscholastic Athletic Association and Highline board policy require periodic academic grade checks for student-athletes. Athletes must maintain a 2.0 GPA and not more than two F's to remain eligible, unless individual teams have a higher expectation of its athletes to compete. Initial eligibility for a season will be based on previous official grading period grades.
Grade checks for the 2019-2020 school year can be found on the attached document.
